Cornwall Cottage Holidays

Cornwall, one of the UK’s most popular holiday spots, is known for its beaches, surfing, great restaurants such run by celebrity chefs Rick Stein and Jamie Oliver and a raft of magnificent gardens, not to mention a host of family tourist attractions.  Added together they make a holiday in Cornwall an appealing proposition.

One way to make a holiday in Cornwall a little more affordable is to rent a cottage and have the freedom to cook your own food or eat out as you choose.  Cottages are available in all parts of Cornwall.

One of Cornwall’s most popular resorts is Newquay.  Rent a cottage in Newquay and you are close to 10 fabulous beaches, a town with a bustling nightlife, some great attractions including Cornwall’s only zoo, the renowned sea life centre Blue Reef Aquarium and Dairyland, the popular farm park.

Find a cottage in St. Austell and you are close to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Wheal Martyn China Clay Heritage, St. Austell Brewery Visitor Centre, of course the fabulous Eden Project.  Also available nearby are cottages in Mevagissey, a picturesque harbour town full of charming shops and restaurants.

Looe is the perfect destination for a quiet holiday, especially if you like to explore country houses and gardens.  Cottages in Looe provide a holiday base that offers both sandy and rocky beaches too.

A Cottage in St. Mawgan puts you in the perfect location for a quiet holiday yet you are only a few miles from busy Newquay, or close to the sandy beaches at Mawgan Porth.

If you prefer to be in the city you can even rent cottages in Truro, right in the centre of Cornwall and near the Hall For Cornwall, and Cornwall’s main museum.

Finally if you consider renting cottages in Bodmin you will be on the edge of Bodmin Moor, perfect for walking holidays exploring the Moor, which is an Area of Outstanding Beauty.  You will also be not too far from many of North Cornwalls sandy beaches too.
